Purpose is a transformative approach to confirmation. Multiple components combine impactful curriculum with a powerful digital tool to enhance communication and ease administrative tasks. Coupled with engaging supplementary material for teens and parents, Purpose is more than just a resource. It is a whole new approach to sacramental preparation.
The Purpose curriculum is 24 sessions with a heavy focus on evangelizing young people and accompanying them as they become disciples. The curriculum addresses three big questions, "Why believe in God?", "Why trust Jesus?" and "Why be a part of the Church?" These questions are supplemented with the Foundations book series, which allow teens to dive more deeply into each. There are four versions of the 24 session curriculum, each adapted for a specific group.
A Purpose subscription gives you access to large group, small group, 8th grade, and Spanish curriculum. Additionally, all Purpose sessions begin with a small group bible study modified from Life Teen's lectionary-based discipleship group, Summit. A Purpose subscription provides your parish with access to these modified Summit sessions for every Sunday of the liturgical year.
Purpose isn't a static program. It grows. It changes. It responds to your feedback. The digital format of Purpose allows us to update materials annually based on new advances in ministry methods, feedback from parishes, and new content that we know teens need. This means every year Purpose includes a few updated videos, retreats, and even sessions. We won't change up the whole program - but we will always work to make it better. This is a program that grows with you as a parish, not one that collects dust.
